Compare Google, TikTok, and LinkedIn Ads
Use each paid-channel dashboard correctly while keeping cross-channel comparisons grounded.

What you’ll achieve
- A cross-channel comparison that preserves each provider’s metric definitions and does not mistake visible advertising for private performance.
Follow the workflow
-
1
Open the channel dashboard
Choose Google Ads, TikTok Ads, or LinkedIn Ads from Data → Competitor Tracking.
-
2
Confirm advertiser coverage
Check which advertiser identities are present and whether Leado can map them to the intended companies. If a brand is missing or ambiguous, repair its channel assignment in Settings before attributing activity.
-
3
Apply an equivalent period
Use matching dates when comparing channels, but remember that each source exposes different fields and update timing.
-
4
Read Google Ads in its own terms
Use advertiser identity, ad count, format, category, destination, visible dates, and the reach or times-shown range available from the Google source. Do not convert a range into exact spend or private campaign performance.
-
5
Read TikTok Ads in its own terms
Compare the observable advertiser, creative, format, message, destination, and timing fields exposed in the TikTok dashboard. Record any source or regional coverage limitation before ranking brands.
-
6
Read LinkedIn Ads in its own terms
Compare mapped advertiser names, visible creatives, formats, messages, destinations, and dates. Verify similarly named companies before attributing activity to a brand.
-
7
Separate observation from inference
State what each dashboard shows first. Label cross-channel strategy, budget, audience, and performance conclusions as interpretations or hypotheses because source definitions differ.
Verify your work
- Every company is mapped to the correct advertiser identity in each included channel
- The comparison uses equivalent dates and documents unavailable or source-specific fields
- Representative creatives and destinations support the stated pattern
If something doesn’t look right
A brand is absent
Verify its advertiser mapping and that the channel has collected records in the selected period.
A category filter shows no ads
Clear zero-value filters and confirm the source classification on individual records.
Totals cannot be reconciled across channels
Compare within each source first and avoid summing unlike reach, visibility, or ad-count definitions.
Limitations and safeguards
Google, TikTok, and LinkedIn expose different fields, regions, update schedules, and estimates; cross-channel totals are directional rather than a shared audited metric.
